Teach a creative class or workshop at crow!
crow in beautiful downtown Edmonds, is a gift boutique highlighting handmade goods, local artists, handcrafted jewelry, and more. They also have a classroom space that is waiting for YOU!
About the Space:
Crow is located in the heart of Downtown Edmonds on 5th near the fountain. In the lower level of this super charming boutique is the classroom space, equipped with the following:
4 tables and 16 chairs - if you have a project that takes up more space per person, we recommend capping attendance at 10-12, but max capacity is 16 attendees.
Kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, Keurig, sink, garbage/recycling, and space to set up any food or beverages you'd like to supply (optional, of course!)
Small whiteboard is available for use as well
At this time there is no screen or technology available for use, but you're welcome to bring your own.
Crow Hours: Monday - Saturday 10am-5pm, Sundays 12pm-5pm, every third Thursday is Edmonds Art Walk and Crow is open until 7pm; Classes can run anytime during open hours - please consider your setup and clean up time within these hours as well; For instance, if you require 30 minutes to set up, a class should not begin at 10am right when Crow opens, but 10:30am instead.
**Crow is in a historic building and it is not ADA accessible - there is 1 step up to the front entrance of the shop from the sidewalk, a small step to access the back, then a set of stairs down to the class space. There are no windows, but it is a well lit and cheerful space!
BOOKING THE SPACE:
Option 1:
Flat Rental Fee
$50/hr, 2 hr minimum, flat rental fee - $100 (unless your class is closer to 3 hours long, then it'd be $150, for example). This rental cost does not need to include your set up / clean up time, just the instruction time.
You are responsible for collecting your own ticket sales, marketing the class to your audience, and managing all class communication / registrations.
We would post your class on the Crow website and provide a link to your site where folks can purchase tickets.
Crow will have the class posted in the shop so folks can sign up via a QR code or learn more if they are interested - this would also link to your site.
Crow will post about the class on our instagram page and story at least 1 time promoting the class.
Option 2:
20% Ticket Sales Rental Fee
Crow would host the ticket sales via their website and retain 20% of the ticket sales, providing the remaining 80% to the instructor after the class. There will be a minimum amount due of $100 - for instance, if you don't have enough sign ups for the 20% to equal or exceed $100, then $100 minimum would be owed.
You are responsible for marketing the class to your audience and forwarding folks to the Crow website to learn more and purchase tickets.
Crow will have the class posted in the shop so folks can sign up via a QR code or learn more if they are interested - we love having examples of the finished project to entice folks if you can provide some for display!
Crow will post about the class on our instagram page and story at least 1 time promoting the class.
**The biggest difference between Option 1 and Option 2 is whether or not you want to host ticket sales on your website or if you want Crow to host them.
Additional Details:
If your class is NOT filled to the predetermined minimum attendee number at two weeks ahead of your class date you can either 1) cancel the class (or reschedule) at no penalty, or 2) continue selling tickets up to the class date. If it's still not filled and you don’t want to run it, there will be a $50 cancellation fee.
You are responsible for any/all materials that you'd like to provide for the class - if students need to bring anything, call that out in the class description so they are prepared.
You are responsible for set-up and clean-up of the space - we'll have it nice and tidy and ready for you before you arrive and have places to dispose of any garbage / recycling on site.
Crow will also provide a coupon for all attendees to use in the shop!
